I’m heading back home to Maryland for the first time since Thanksgiving, and it’s got me in my feelings about family, distance, and what really changes when you come back home. Between reconnecting with my siblings, reflecting on how I see my parents as an adult, and navigating some unresolved family drama, this trip’s about way more than just a visit. Plus, I’m sharing the ups and downs of balancing family closeness with building a life and relationship miles away.
